The End of an Era.

Changes at Stockton Wrc.

Chairman Retires.

Involved with Stockton Wrc since 1969. Chairman Malcolm Clarke has decided to step down as from 1st January 2020.

Aged 14 years old Malcolm acquired his first Show type whippet. Racing Name Tipster bred by Bill Brodrick also from Stockton Club. Tipster was very smart looking dog but racing was not his game.

During the early years Malcolm acquired other whippets with such breeding as Black Magic (Tinlegs x Magpie), Ground Hogg (Blue Peter Spotted Dog), The Witch (Tinlegs x Stelko). These were proper racing strains and catapulted Malcolm into some great Non-Ped Handicap Racing.

Nch House of Fun (Mr Benn x Grattan Blue) bought in from his old friend Skim Brunt and was his first Nch 33lb blue dog who did very well in Open Scratch races.

Rch/Nch Matchpoint was his next success at 35lb was limited to Titles & Scratches and by far was his fastest heavy weight bitch.

Owning Sup Rch/Nch Shooting Star and trained by his brother Ian. Shooting Star won many titles both BWRA & NWRF including the Whippet News Top Ten 2 years running.

Malcolm owns Nch Mimzee Mu a very fast bitch also (Top Brood Bitch 2018) having bred a number of top performers over the years. Such bitches as Sup Rbch/Nch Lola, Sup Rch Nch Ch-Ch The Power, Sup Rch Nch Ch-Ch Brimone, Sup Rch/Nch Whisper, Sup Rch Chief Commander, to name but a few.

Malcolm says Whippet racing is a great sport and I have made some solid friends over the years. Thank You for the time in Whippet Racing. Hopefully Stockton Wrc can continue under a new direction. 17.01.2020.
